The island consists of beaches facing the Ria Formosa and facing the sea. It has a campsite and rental huts, and it is also possible to rent private houses. There are also several restaurants, near the pier, some of them with family tradition, passed from generation to generation.
The nautical sports enthusiasts also find in Armona a good place to practice them. Canoeing, sailing and diving are just a few examples. Recreational fishing is also quite popular.
In addition to the inhabited part of the island, there is a wilder section, where you can find, for example, chameleons and other specimens of the local fauna.
Armona Island is one of the most tranquil and characteristic places of the bathing season.
