La plage est située dans l’un des complexes touristiques les plus luxueux de l’Algarve. C'est une longue plage, avec une vaste plage sans rochers, avec un accès piétonnier par un pont sur la Ria Formosa, afin de conserver toute sa beauté naturelle.
Insérée dans le parc naturel de Ria Formosa et considérée comme l'une des plages les plus à l'intérieur des terres de l'Algarve, la plage de Quinta do Lago est réputée pour sa renommée, accueillant de nombreuses personnalités de la jet-set nationales et internationales.
