It has a salt water pool (a bit cold) located at the mouth of the Ribeira do Faial, known to the natives of the parish by "Boca da Ribeira".
There is a fishing port in the northern part of the parish and a fortim built by the Catanho de Menezes family, former landlord of the parish. In this fort there are some cannons, which until a few years ago were used in the feasts of the parish in honor of Our Lady of the Nativity (September 7th and 8th or weekend) and the Blessed Sacrament (Feast of the Lord) moment of the procession's passage.
