With its 59 hectares, Stromovka is the largest green space in the center of Prague. This old medieval hunting reserve has been modified several times in the form of a magnificent English park.
The history of the park is ancient and prestigious. During the medieval period, this space served as a royal hunting reserve, which was officially founded in 1268 by King Přemysl Otakar II. The first mention written about the current park dates to 1319, when John of Luxembourg ordered the construction of a platform for the organization of fairs.
