The Fonte Pequena, as well as the Fonte Grande, is one of the favorite places of excursion for the people of the earth and tourists.
Natural heritage, once with sloping banks and loose soil, was a meeting place for women to wash their clothes or wait for water.
In the late 1940s, the place of Fonte Pequena was renovated, the river banks were walled and a picnic area was created, with benches and stone tables in the shade of poplar trees.
Being the village crossed by the Ribeira de Alte, Fonte Pequena is one of the most pleasant and refreshing places along the river, a space used to pay homage to the poet Cândido Guerreiro, where you can read some of his best known sonnets.
The natural beauty of Fonte and all its surroundings is a pleasant invitation to all those who enjoy the contact with nature and seek to escape the stress and the movement of the big cities.
