It consists of two collections:
- Pre-Columbian collection, which houses the Pre-Columbian Art collection Felipe Orlando García-Murciano (famous painter, poet, writer and Mexican anthropologist), which was extended by donations, loans and acquisitions by the municipality of Benalmádena. The Exhibits illustrate those of the great Nuclei of Civilization, Mesoamerica, Old Mexico and the Central Andes, Old Peru, as well as Lower Central America and the Northern Andes. It is one of the largest collections of pre-Columbian art outside of Latin America. It has all kinds of handmade pieces and household objects of these cultures.
- The Archaeological Collection composed of Objects of Archaeological Excavations carried out in the Municipality from Prehistory to the Roman Era.
