The Church is of a single nave and has an interior lined with tiles and gilt carving, with both artistic elements being placed on a date corresponding to the 1st Quarter of the 18th century.
The chancel is covered by a vault and is dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, having once been dedicated to Santa Maria do Cabo. It has two tablets from the end of the 16th century, representing the Apostles S. Pedro and S. Paulo.
Also noteworthy are the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Carmo and the Altar in front of it, elements that are composed of golden carving of a superb quality.
It is also worth mentioning the Ceiling, formed by wooden coffins, painted with spiritual motifs and where, in the center, was the National Coat of Arms.
In a room attached to the Church, a Museum is installed, where various religious implements, vestments and some archaeological pieces are on display.
In the sacristy, you can find an Arcaz of the century. XVII.
Located in Vila do Bispo.
The current temple was probably built at the end of the 16th century, with its patron saint Nossa Senhora da Conceição.
