The interior west side wall has a fragment of mural painting, although very mutilated, being one of the rare examples associated with spaces of this nature in Portugal. In fact, only one more is known - that of the Palace of the Audience of Monsaraz, this much more complete. It is a painting executed according to the technique of the fresco that uses three basic colors: red, yellow and black with the respective shades.
At the end there seems to be what remains of a figure, probably related to an allegory of Justice.
This mural would cover the whole wall and will certainly be related to the campaign of Manueline works carried out in the building in the early sixteenth century.

The medieval Town Hall was originally built, probably in the fourteenth century, in the reign of D. Afonso IV (1325-1357). The building has three distinct bodies, the Galilee, the Clock Tower and the Hall of the County. The Galilee consists of five broken arches that rest on siglate and twin columns with decorated capitals. Also visible are the canals that supported the primitive cover which, as a consequence of the Manueline reform, is now built in a vaulted ribbed with keys and vegetable corbels, displaying in the central key the cross of Christ. The Clock Tower also dates back to the 16th century and has a green and yellow tile roof. The Council Hall, with its ogival door, has above the arch the first known flag of arms of Estremoz, the reign of D. Afonso IV.
