At the end of the 19th century, the Braga Municipal Council rented the property, where it installed the "Hospice of the Exposed" or "House of the Wheel", which would be the last house of the Wheel in Braga, hence its current designation. In 1986 it is acquired by the City Hall.
The building was built with materials from previous buildings, this reuse gives it an original look. The building is characterized by a Florentine Renaissance style. The edges of the stone building, the symmetry, the aesthetics and harmony are the most outstanding aspects.
Today in the building is the Parish Council of São João do Souto and the Youth Association in Walk.
Casa dos Paivas or Roda was built in the 16th century in the historic center of Braga.
Classified as Property of Public Interest.
