Jardim da Luz is a public space, characterized as a public garden or as a park with 113,400 m², located on Avenida Tiradentes, Luz region, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is next to Luz Station, next to the São Paulo Museum of Sacred Art and the Historical Department of the City Hall. In the garden, is the headquarters of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo.
Originally a botanical garden, it was transformed into a public garden in the late 19th century.
In 1900, the headquarters of the São Paulo High School of Arts and Crafts was inaugurated, which currently houses the aforementioned Pinacoteca.
For much of the twentieth century the garden had a severe period of degradation, serving as a zone for prostitution and drug trafficking. The situation was reversed with a revitalization policy of the central region carried out by the State Government, whose results were, among others, the installation of sculptures along the park, the renovation of the Pinacoteca, greater policing and enhancement of the region.
