Santa Cruz Park, better known as the Mermaid Garden, was part of the Santa Cruz Monastery and dates from the 18th century.
The entrance to these gardens is through a triumphal arch, decorated by three statues symbolizing Faith, Hope and Charity, and is surrounded by two towers with Baroque-style ornaments.
