The north coast of the Island of Santo Antão, is formed by cliffs that fall to the sea abruptly creating a landscape of great beauty.
Called Cruzinha coast due to the village of the same name that is located in this part of the island.
Formerly when the accesses were nonexistent the village of Cruzinha was an important point in the supply of this part of the island, was to the support to the other villages of the valley.
